Staff Training

 

We are fully committed to ensuring that all of our staff undertake a training program that meets both mandatory and specialist training requirements to carry out their specified job role to the highest standards. Our staff receive the appropriate induction and training for working with Adults and /or Children and Young People using our Induction program as a foundation for their future development.

 

All newly recruited staff undergo mandatory training as well as a company induction programme that covers the following areas:

• Understanding your Organisation, Working effectively, Personal Development
• Health and safety
• Fire prevention
• Basic First Aid and life support practice and theory
• Infection control
• Food hygiene
• Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Children
• Moving and handling practice and theory
• Medication management

During the company induction staff will be introduced to Solution2Care Services core values, code of conduct and the policies and procedures.

All training is delivered in a blended learning style that involves face-to-face training provided by both in-house and external specialist providers, e-learning, and practical training, where staff will also shadow an experienced worker as part of their induction.

Having completed their mandatory and company induction, wherever there is a need for specialised training, this is provided by our in-house specialist team or, where appropriate, expert external providers.

Our staff will continue to receive one-to-one and group supervision. Their learning and development is closely monitored to ensure that both their mandatory and specialist training is kept up to date which enables them to provide safe and competent care to all of our service users who place their trust in Solution2Care Services.
